If I look at the size of the library in finder the size is increasing ever so slowly, like a few mb every few minutes. If I go through and try and open individual images it will sometimes force it to download, sometimes it will just get stuck and do nothing. I've read elsewhere that the process can be slow but at this rate it will take years to download them all. My download speeds are super fast, I don't think that would be the problem. After chugging away non-stop for about 24 hours now it has downloaded a grand total of. When it appeared to be complete, it changed to say 'Downloading 160,610 Originals'. I now have an iMac with oodles of space so I thought I'll download all the high res again.Įverything seemed to go well at first, the library 'updated', photos came flooding in for a good day or so. The Photos Library file on the computer (Mid 2015 MacBook Pro) I originally imported them to says it's 100GB so it would appear it still has some files in it, but is there any way to view the actual files? I assume this means the original files are missing or corrupted? This appears to be the case with all of the photos from that time period, which were taken on a digital camera then imported to Photos. I'm connected to iCloud/internet, so I see the same photos across my devices but always get the same error message no matter the device. (PHResourceDownloadRequestErrorDomain error 0.) The photos appear to be low-res preview versions and not the original full-res. When I try to share or edit or do anything with these photos in the Photos app I get the following message: The operation couldn’t be completed.
